In this virtual class, you’ll learn the essential gardening basics through a seasonal lens, including how to choose the right plants, understand sunlight and placement, water effectively, and support your soil going into summer.

While the focus is on the Houston area, the fundamentals apply anywhere.

A Little Dirt Can’t Hurt will be at the Needville Main Street Market answering garden questions and selling herbal goods.

Mother’s Day is the perfect time to give something thoughtful, personal, and made by hand.

In this workshop, you’ll create your own botanical cards using the Japanese hapa-zome technique, transferring the natural pigments of fresh flowers directly onto paper.

Each card becomes a one-of-a-kind piece, capturing the color and detail of real blooms in a way that feels both simple and special.

You’ll make up to 4 handmade cards to gift or keep, and all materials are provided.

Pollinator Watering Station

In this workshop, you’ll create and decorate your own pollinator watering station to give them a safe place to land and drink.

In this workshop, we’ll create a container garden designed to attract butterflies, bees, and other pollinators, while providing a steady source of nectar.

The plants are chosen to handle our Texas heat and continue thriving throughout the summer.

You’ll learn about different types of pollinator plants and how they support a wide range of beneficial insects, and you’ll leave with something you created yourself that will continue to grow and evolve at home.
